Compared with the first generation, this year’s new Rainbow Di has three main changes in the case, namely the dial scale, the color of the pointer and the case material!
In the second generation, Rolex removed the square large diamond scale and replaced it with a bar-shaped gem scale. What is even more valuable is that the arrangement of these gem scales also presents a gradient effect, and corresponds to the color of the gradient gems on the outer ring.
The case and strap of the “Second Generation Rainbow Daytona” are made of 316L stainless steel. Each case is CNC processed for all details, and then polished by manual processes. The polishing and inspection workmanship are fine. The bezel angle and the size, quantity and color of the gems are consistent with the rainbow gradient effect of the counter. The literal K movement uses 7750, the thickness is 13m, and the timing function is synchronized with the counter. The strap is equipped with an Oyster safety buckle to prevent accidental opening. This elegant solid link strap is comfortable to wear and very easy to operate! The biggest feature of this watch is the colorful gems on the bezel and the twelve colored diamond scales on the face. The color gradient effect corresponds one by one. These gems shine with colorful colors such as red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple, just like adding a graceful and colorful change of colors. Rolex carefully selected exquisite gems and combined them together to give the watch a strange brilliance.
